When you arrive for your appointment, please remain in your car and call us at 801.515.0260 to notify us. Our staff member will come to take your temperature and escort you into the med spa.
The most important thing to remember is to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing for your visit! Our team wants you to feel as relaxed and as at ease as possible throughout your treatment process. Depending on the service you are receiving, we may provide further instructions prior to your visit. For example, if you are undergoing laser hair reduction, you may wish to bring or wear your bathing suit for your treatment.
Before any skin care service, we recommend wearing nothing on your skin. If possible, please come to your appointment with clean skin, free from makeup or skin care products. You should also avoid wearing self-tanners. No worries, though, if you arrive with makeup on! Your provider will gently cleanse your face or other treatment area before your session begins.
Our staff will inform you of any pre-treatment instructions prior to your arrival. For example, before an injectables session, you may wish to start taking a supplement called arnica montana which may help reduce your risk of bruising and swelling. You may also reduce your risk of bruising by avoiding blood-thinning substances at least a week in advance. Common blood thinners include non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDS), alcohol, gingko biloba, ginseng, green tea and garlic.
For another example, in the weeks before and after any laser skin treatment, you may need to pause your skin care regimen if it includes the application of retinoids. Rest assured, our team will be sure to review your specific treatment instructions with you well before your appointment, ensuring you know exactly what to do and what to expect before and after sessions with us.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to prepare for your treatment. As we are a medical spa, we require new patients to fill out a brief medical history information and consent form.
If you are scheduled for dermal fillers, laser treatments or special peels, we recommend you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time so that we can properly prepare your skin for the treatment.
For the safety of your children and for the benefit of our other clients and service providers, we ask that children not come along unless they are receiving treatments themselves.
Medical spas blend the best of two worlds — a relaxing spa experience with the procedures and expertise found at a doctor’s office. A doctor oversees the medical spa and is in charge of procedures that fall under the medical realm.
